Choose your project

Look at our database. You can find projects that best suit you. You can search by country, by date or by type of the project (environment, social, renovation ...).

If you need assistance, please contact us, we will help you refine your selection.

The selection process will take from a few days to a few weeks depending on the type of workcamp you chose. During that time, we will keep you informed and also put you in touch with our former volunteers if it is necessary. It is important for you to take time to choose a project which you want to work on, and which corresponds to what you can offer and what you expect in return. Our experienced and professional staffs will be with you along the way with their consultancy and support to assist you in finding the best match.

It is so simple! It only takes a few minutes after you chose your project.

Here is how you do it:

1. Choose your workcamp

2. Complete the registration form

3. Attach your CV

4. Send it to us by email: [email protected]

5. Important note: For all workcamps involving children, you are required to provide us a Certificate of Good Conduct (type 2) which you can easily obtain from your local authority or police.

For US volunteers, you need to submit Federal Criminal History Check Record - FBI Clearance (Act 114) and Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151).

6. Pay registration fee to our bank account or via our online payment with PayPal (see payment tab).

Need our help?

We love to have questions from you! Our international team in different time zones can assist you anytime. If you need any further information/details, please email/Skype/call us, or just come over to our office for a chat!

Processing time

Within three days after receiving your documents, SVI will inform you on the status of your application. If you are accepted, we will invite you to an information briefing to discuss further details and preparation. We will also provide you with all necessary documents for the projects.

If you are not placed in the project of your choice, we will provide you with alternative options OR we will send you a full refund of your registration fee.

Once selected, you will have to arrange transportation to and from the project location, and make any necessary arrangements for passport, visa,...

Change your selection

You can change your selection with a fee of 79$ per change if the change is made at least 12 days before the start of your registered workcamp. However, we discourage any change after you made your official application. By selecting you, our partner organization and SVI turn down other candidates who also registered for the same project. The arrangement involves lot of international communication and workloads. Besides, your change might negatively affect the project and its organization. Therefore, please take your time to make your decision.Once you have done so, stick with it!

Cancellation of your registration

If the cancellation is made at least 10 days before the beginning of your registered workcamp, 70% of your registration fee will be refunded.

If the cancellation is made less than 10 days before the beginning of your registered workcamp, your registration fee will not be refunded.

However, please keep in mind that a last minute cancellation will cause problem for the host organization that will have to find a replacement  to continue the project!
